Cambridge Public Health

Ulla is currently employed in the University of Cambridge, department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, as a Principal Research Associate in Applied Medical Statistics. Her project is funded by the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre and aims to develop prediction models for adverse pregnancy outcomes including fetal growth restriction, preterm birth, pre-eclampsia and stillbirth, using data primarily from the Pregnancy Outcome Prediction Study (POPS). Ulla is also working to develop longitudinal models for fetal growth and exploring the early origins of chronic disease.

Before her employment at the University of Cambridge, Ulla was a lecturer in Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Prior to that she earned her PhD in Genetic and Life-Course Epidemiology at Imperial College London, where she had also gained her second master’s degree in Modern Epidemiology and worked as a Statistician. Her first master’s degree was carried out in Statistics at the University of Oulu, Finland.
