I am interested in life course epidemiology of schizophrenia, depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders; and common links in childhood between chronic adult diseases, neuropsychiatric and physical, such as cardiovascular disease, obesity and type two diabetes. I am also interested in cognitive development and neurocognitive changes in schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. Currently, I am working on effects of impaired fetal development, early life infection, immune and metabolic biomarkers on neurodevelopment and later psychiatric risk in the ALSPAC birth cohort.
