Cambridge Public Health

Senior Research Associate

I am a Senior Research Associate based in the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit in the Dept of Public Health & Primary Care, where I also hold an affiliation to the NHS Blood & Transplant Research Unit. My research focuses on the use of simulation modelling to evaluate novel public health strategies both in terms of clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness. I am interested in the application of these methods to explore optimisation of policy in areas such as (cardio)vascular disease assessment and intervention, post-surgical surveillance, and efficiency and safety improvements in blood donation. Current work also includes translation of modelling findings into real world settings, working with policymakers to roll out and evaluate a revised, more efficient blood donation policy for England.
