Connecting people and ideas to improve global health and wellbeing
Context
Achieving good health and wellbeing for all people requires a particular focus on challenges facing low and middle-income countries (LMIC) including a high burden of communicable diseases, inadequate human resources for health and under-resourced health systems.
Tackling these challenges is about understanding other cultures as much as it is about understanding biology and disease.
What we do
Our work focuses on fostering relationships with partners in LMICs. Our goal is to combine the world-leading research taking place at Cambridge with that of our partners across the world, in an effort to improve health for everyone.
We focus on a range of subjects across university departments including emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, diet and activity, neurotrauma, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
