Xuemei Zhang is a Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, and visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge. Xuemei is supporting the projects related to the economic impacts of hearing loss in Australia. Xuemei’s PhD research is to investigate the distribution of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in transitional economy like China using the national representative longitudinal survey. Xuemei is also participating in assessing the cost-effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) on CVD screening in Australia, UK, and Singapore.
Xuemei uses interdisciplinary approach that integrates insights from different disciplines like epidemiology and health economics to enhance population health. With extensive experience in analysing large-scale longitudinal survey data, she excels in translating complex quantitative data into actionable insights.
