Cambridge Public Health

We are looking for a research associate to undertake a rapid mapping exercise of the research needs of the NHS in England in relation to their net zero targets and to help us develop the University’s role in relation to these. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the research lead for the national Green NHS team and the sustainability lead for NIHR. Previous experience in understanding needs of policy makers and mapping research gaps is desirable but not necessary.

Due to the short time scales this is only open to research associates already currently employed by the University with the capacity to add this work to their current role (or to the end of a current role if about to finish). We would like to begin the project as soon as possible as the funding is only available until the end of July. The role will be 2-5 days a week depending on availability and pay scale. Most of the work will be remote and flexible but we have budget for up to 4 trips to NHS England in London or Leeds if required. The project is being led by Dr James Smith, Sustainability Co-Lead for Cambridge Public Health and the Department of Public Health and Primary Care.

Please email James Smith (jns25@cam.ac.uk) by 5pm on Friday 10th May if you are interested.
