Cambridge Public Health has launched a new Global Health Bites feature — a short video format designed to share examples of global health research, training and collaboration across Cambridge and with international partners.
The first video, Building Research Capacity in Tanzania, features Dr Shobhana Nagraj (Cambridge Public Health), who joined Professor Charlie Whiffin from the University of Derby and colleagues at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) in Dar es Salaam as part of the NIHR Global Health Research Group on Acquired Brain and Spinal Injuries (ABSI).
The three-day programme included qualitative research training and a community engagement and involvement workshop with the Pioneers of Neurosciences Nursing Team (PNNT). The visit was welcomed by Dr Mpoki Ulisubisya, Director of Nursing and Chief of Neurosurgery, and Dr Hamisi Shabani, Head of Paediatric Neurosurgery.
Through Global Health Bites, Cambridge Public Health aims to share occasional short videos highlighting collaborative work and initiatives contributing to improved health worldwide.
