About
Cambridge Public Health is delighted to be co-organising the Wolfson Annual Global Health Research Conference, a flagship, student-led event that brings together students, researchers, funders, and global leaders to explore the most pressing challenges shaping global health today — and the opportunities ahead.
Under the theme ‘Global Health in a Changing World’, the conference will examine interconnected issues including the double burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases; sustainability, climate and public health; equitable access to technology; artificial intelligence in medicine; and the future of global health research funding.
Hosted at Wolfson College, the programme features keynote addresses from Tumani Corrah, Founder of the Africa Research Excellence Fund, and John-Arne Røttingen, CEO of Wellcome. Speakers from across the University of Cambridge and beyond will share insights on current global health challenges and emerging innovations.
Through keynote talks, panel discussions, and student presentations, the conference aims to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue and research-led exchange. The day will conclude with a drinks reception with canapés, providing further opportunities for discussion and networking.
The conference will also feature a Student Flash Talk Competition, offering University of Cambridge students the opportunity to share their vision for the future of global health as part of the main programme.
