The state of planetary health is in serious peril as the United States, under the second Trump presidency, pulls out of international climate and health commitments. This lecture will provide a diagnosis of today’s “polycrisis” as well as offer potential solutions – coming from the Global South, a perspective often neglected but which now cannot be ignored anymore.
Renzo R. Guinto, MD DrPH is Associate Professor of Global and Planetary Health at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI), Duke-NUS Medical School and a Senior Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
